Stated in the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, it is mandatory for anyone to receive training who is involved in disturbing the fabric of a building (Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2006).
This includes maintenance workers and others who may come into contact with or who may disturb asbestos as well as those involved in asbestos removal work.
